Continued drought conditions in our area have caused the need for Montgomery County MUD 139 to institute Stage 1 of its Drought Contingency Plan.

The following steps are voluntary at this time.

  1. Please limit landscaped areas irrigation from automatic sprinkler systems or hose-end sprinklers to the following days only:

Addresses ending in even numbers (0,2,4,6 or 8) – Sundays and Thursdays only

Addresses ending in odd numbers (1,3,5, 7 or 9) – Saturdays and Wednesdays only

Please only irrigate between 12:00 midnight until 10:00 a.m. and between 8:00 p.m. and 12:00 midnight on designated watering days. Landscaped areas can be watered anytime using a handheld hose, a faucet-filled bucket or a watering can of 5 gallons or less, or a drip irrigation system.

Your voluntary adherence to these Stage 1 steps is appreciated.
